I'm thinking of getting one of those calorie, hr, distance tracking watches to go on jogs with around the town. Could yall offer some advice on what products have been good/bad? I know some have a chect strap that measures hr, im not too excited about that, i rather have all the sensors on my wrist and pay a little extra
Thanks!
Answer
There is no such thing as a HR sensor on your wrist. That's not an accurate way to measure HR. It's far too far away from your heart.
My advice is download the FREE iMapMyRun app from iTunes. I spent almost $200 on a GPA Garmin watch and I'm really disappointed in it. The watch takes FOREVER to get GPS signal, it loses it really easy in tree cover and ALL my runs are in tree cover. It doesn't tell you when it loses signal. The CD that came in the box with it's software doesn't have any software on it. Plus I can't find where I can download the software for my Mac.
My FREE iPhone app is a million times better at tracking distances, elevation, gets GPS signal in literally less than 5 seconds, never loses signal even on my trail runs. I'm really sorry I ever bought a watch. Apps on smartphones are far more advanced and the GPS technology on phones is far better. FAR FAR BETTER!

Should I buy new Nike product for my exercises?
Oblivian
I really excersise a lot. Mostley cardio in home and running out on the track. I want to buy somthing that will track my movment. I have an Android phone, not an iPhone. I want to to get somthing that will monitor my heart rate, how many miles I run, and also tell time if it can. I'm wondering if I should buy one thing that does it all (but I dont which one does that), or 2 seprate things that do that. I have been thinking about buy the fuelband because the Nike+ android app already tracks my run, but I heard that there not that great. Please help.

I would definitely suggest buying the Nike+ Sportwatch GPS. It doesn't just tell time. It keeps you motivated and on track with unique features like automatic run-reminders. Then during the run it keeps track of your location, pace, distance, laps, and calories burned, and it doesn't need a chip in your shoe or an app on your phone. With the Polar Wearlink+, it also tracks your heart rate. It also stores all your run history and keeps tabs on your personal records, giving you encouragement messages along the way. And finally after your run you can get online to set goals, track your progress, view your splits, and connect with other runners. You can also check out your mapped runs, and see how elevation affects your pace and find the best places to run and compete on a Nike+ Top Route. The watch is about $170 but it's well worth the cost, I highly suggest it.
