I have been trying to watch calories and fat and thought that this might be better than buying prepared PB from the store. Thanks!

Answer
Cashew Butter
Yield: Approximately 1 to 1-1/2 cups

2 tablespoons honey
1/3 cup walnut oil
2 cups roasted cashews
1/2 teaspoon salt

Place the honey in a microwave-safe container and heat in the microwave for 15 seconds. Remove from the microwave and add the oil to the container.

Place the nuts and salt in the bowl of a food processor and pulse for 5 seconds. Then, while the processor is running, very slowly drizzle in the honey and oil. Process until an emulsion is formed and the mixture is smooth; this will take approximately 45 seconds to 1 minute. If the mixture is too thick and doesn't spread easily, add a little more oil.

How many calories should I consume a day to lose weight?

I really need help I have been exercising frequently but not losing weight whatsoever and intact gaining more. I then realized I was not watching my calories. I'm a 15 year old male teen who weighs 205 lbs J exercise at least 3 times a week with walking combined with jogging and running for 30-35 minutes per days. Is this good and what should be my calorie intake if I want to lose weight at this rate

Answer
You need to start by working out your maintenance level of calories - how many calories you need per day to maintain your current body weight. To do that, you multiply tour weight in pounds by a number between 14 and 17. For your age and activity level, go with 16 (I won't go into the long and boring description of how to work that out). So, your calorie maintenance level is 205 x 16 = 3280 calories per day.

In order to lose weight, you need to create a calorific deficit, basically take in slightly less than your calorie maintenance level each day. The best way to do this is to drop the number by 20%. So, to lose weight, your daily calorie intake should now be 3280 - (3280 x 0.20) = 3280 - 656 = 2624 calories per day.

Just make sure you're eating the right things, don't eat too much meat (only about 200g per day) and try to stay away from processes foods and very sugary or fatty foods.
I hope this helps :)
