I figure the ideal shoe would be one that was very light on the foot inducing even pressure over the non-grounded parts, very thin and even in the sole to allow the foot to meet the ground with a natural attitude, and tough enough to protect the sole while still allowing flexibility.

Two shoes I can think of I actually own about 3 prs. in the 1st one and are very comfortable to run in and train in but no more than 10% of a weeks running.
