Do I have to watch Doctor Who from episode one to understand the rest of the original series of Doctor Who?

I really wanna watch the episodes with Tom Baker (4th Doctor) and Liz Sladen (Sarah Jane Smith), but do I need to watch the original series from the very beginning to understand what's going on? And if I DO have to watch from the beginning, is the 1st - 3rd Doctors interesting to watch?
Thanks!

Answer
I should think not, the older, more classic episodes did not have so much of a running plot as they do today. However, these serials were made in the 70's and although they are awesome in their own way, some can be long and drawn out, with boring plots. What I suggest is checking out this website :
http://herotaku.com/scifi/2012/11/19/8-tips-to-start-watching-classic-doctor-who/ ...which gives some helpful tips about watching classic Doctor Who and lists some of the best episodes from each Doctor. Once you have a taste for the classics, you may find even the more obscure episodes endearing and fun to watch. Alons-y!!!

Where can I watch the 2012 teen choice awards?
