What is the best way to learn korean?

Ryu

What is the best way to learn korean, I was born in korea but was adopted by white people, unfortuntely. I've always wanted to learn my native langauge. Eventually, I want to visit and search for my birth-parents.
I watch running man, Coffee House, We got married and a few korean movies in eng subs

Answer
Honestly, with ALL honesty. Watching Korean dramas/shows w/ eng subs (cos i LOVE them, Iove Running man) without doing it consciously, even , has helped me tremendously.

BUT once you have a BASIC understanding of Korean vocabulary and you can kind of understand what they're saying while watching dramas/shows with English subs to the point of even recognizing when the subtitles are not being translated accurately is to start watching Korean shows WITHOUT eng subs once in a while, i've recently decided that. I think it will help me a lot, as if i was in Korea. Cos if i go to Korea its not like eng subs would be written down for me when Koreans try to communicate with me.so it gotta start here, by me watching Korean TV without subtitles, otherwise it is like am always looking for a "way out" ,
but watching Korean shows without subs it helps in terms of making you independent trying to understand what they're saying in Korean and so on, and aside from speaking it this is how the majority of foreigners living in Korea learn : by hearing Korean language around them.

PS: It might be difficult to understand the first time , but with time you'd be okay :) As you improve with your Korean you'd think back to the raw Korean video you watched and be like " OH i know what that means .." etc :D
I hope i helped^^
