best watch for mountain running image
Q. I'm a 15 year old female. I live a fairly sedentary lifestyle and want to change that by starting a running routine. I just am unsure of how to start. My goal is to start soon and be able to run a mile easily after about a month or two.
How realistic is my goal?
How should I begin my routine?
Also, the only available place for me to run is the soccer field near my house, for what it's worth.

Answer
Running around a soccer field since it's softer than cement.
If your just starting you can jog and walk and work up to jogging a mile without stopping.
It's very realistic for inspiration watch Tony Robbins Breakthrough show on Hulu where the sedentary Dad jogs up the Mountain with the marines in less than 10 days of training. Your body is amazing you just need to gradually adapt the stress and mentally condition yourself to know that you can do it!
The biggest tip is just to schedule 16 to 60 minutes per day for exercise. It will become easier if you make it a part of your life.
For your routine variety is the spice of life for instance sometimes you can change it up by
Skipping since it works your form
Running backwards
Running sprints on the straight ways and walking the curves
Running one lap faster than walking one lap and starting over
Weight lifting since it will help you burn the fat and make your muscles stronger
Do a funwalk 5K or mile walk later jog a 5K for endurance or do hiking
