Does the Nike+ GPS watch work if you are running on a track?

Elizabeth

I am interested in buying this watch because of the inconstancy that comes with the nike+ sportwatch. I run on a 400m track and am wondering if I use the GPS watch will it use GPS to record how far I run or if I will have to use the Nike+ chip that goes in my shoe.

Answer
yes the watch will work a lot better than the sportwatch. I got my GPS watch last summer and it helped a lot with knowing how fast to run on the speed workouts. it is pretty accurate too. it's nice that I don't have to run courses either I can run where ever I want and it tells me how fast and how far I went. all the other girls that have GPS watches on my team have garmins. they are a little cheaper but uglier lol I prefer the Nike one because it looks a lot better and smaller. the only problem I have had is that they only gave 1 page front and back of instructions how to use it. these pages were not big either like 2 by 1 inches so u may have to look up online how to use it

Does anybody have the Soleus GPS 1.0 running watch?

I know the watch tells me my mile time for each mile, but does it tell you your actual pace throughout while running? If so, how do you get there? I lost the directions. thankyou !

Answer
If you click the view mode while the GPS is engaged, you should be able to see different view options that include seeing your distance, time, current speed, calories burned, etc. If you still need some help please visit our GPS page below where we have a Quick Start Guide link as well as a GPS Training Video.
