what would you use it for? give me specific situations
Answer
There are lots of different uses for running watches, and specific uses will be different depending on your goals. The simplest uses are overall timing and lap/interval timing. The more sophisticated running watches can include heart rate monitors, gps tracking, pace information, virtual trainers, workout planning and analysis. Many of these sophisticated running watches have the ability to sync this data with software/websites so that training information is logged and reviewable later.

Can I get some opinions on running watches?
Connor
I'm interested in getting a runners watch but I must admit I really have no idea where to really begin in searching for them as I know very little about the different types, brands, features, and prices.
I want something that's not overly expensive (under $200 preferably) but at the same time I want a very good quality product that will last me several years so if my budget has to change I can deal with that.
Like I said I don't know much about runners watches. Can you get ones that will track how far you have run, how fast you have run, and things like how many approx. calories you have burned etc.?
I also would like one that monitors your heart rate and has a stop watch.
What watch do you use and which ones do you recommend? (and which ones do you think I should avoid?)
-Thanks
Answer
What do you want the watch to do?
If you just want a watch that will give you your run time and may be intervals and beep at certain times, then get a Times iron man, it is around $50 and I have used them for many years they usually last several years and are rugged.
