At about half a mile, my lower back starts to get pain... feels like knot or something, but it makes it really hard to run and twist my body. Anyone know what i can do, or what it is? Thanks

(Your question was unclear at first, I thought you wanted to know how fast the 100m is run. But now I get it.)
How fast can long distance runners run the 100m dash?
Male 1500m runners can go about 10.8 in the 100m, I know that. 5000m runners more like 11.4ish. Don't know about the women, but I presume female 1500m runners can do 12.1 in the 100m, 5000m runners 12.6.
In a men's 1500m race, the average 100m is run at about 14.4 seconds, but remember that they have a flying start for that- so it's worth about a 15.3 sec. 100m. 5000m and 10,000m, the average 100m segment is at about 16.2 sec for the winner (on pace for 17.2 without a flying start). Women's 1500m winner averages about 16 seconds (17 without flying start) and 5000m average 18 sec (19 without flying start).
In a race, sometimes it'll be a sprint finish on the last lap. Sebastian Coe in 1984 Olympics ran the last 100m of his 1500m race in 12.6 seconds. I think Kenenisa Bekele, men's WR holder in a couple events, in a major race, ran a 54 sec final lap (100m flying start 13.5 avg). The 1984 10,000m winner Miruts Yifter ran a 54.2 sec final lap. The leaders ran the women's 5000m final in 2005 world championships with a last lap of 59 sec, worth 100m segment averages of 14.8 seconds.
The 800m is quite fast, a split I know of is that Wilson Kipketer, in his 800m world record, ran the first 200m in 23.56 seconds (might've been 23.65, can't remember the .xx exactly) from a standing start and did about 25-26 seconds for the other 200m splits.
