I have heard that welding is involved and with an artificial Pacemaker, you cannot use welding equipment.
With current Pacemakers, microwaves, cell phones, etc. pose no danger to them. Thats only with the old style.
Answer
That's a question you are going to have to ask your pacemaker tech, or perhaps even call the Consumer Info line of the company that makes it.
Pacemakers are much better than they were, but you still have to use a little common sense. You can be in the same room as a running microwave oven (It used to be you had to leave the room first) but don't lean over the microwave watching your food cook. Keep about 3 feet (at least) between it and you.
Also, you should use your cell phone on the opposite side of your body. If your pacemaker is implanted in the left shoulder, for example, hold the cell phone to your right ear.
Magnets are a no-no. Those super strong rare earth magnets are a serious no-no. The doc can adjust your pacemaker by using a magnet, so getting close to a magnetic field could accidentally reprogram your pacer.
I'm assuming that you are not an Avionics Tech yet, but want to get into the field. If so, you need to schedule a meeting with someone who teaches Avionics Repair, and ask his opinion. If he isn't sure, ask him how much work around magnets, electromagnets, and welding could be involved. And then call the pacemaker company and talk to them about it. If they ask you any questions, tell them what the teacher said, or offer to put them in touch with the instructor.
Good luck, and hopefully you will get the answer you desire!

How come nobody said anything of what couldve happened to horry?
Q. when amare was sprinting towards the melee, robert horry had his back to the suns bench. how come nobody thinks this coulve been worse? amare was held back and also realized oh crap i need to get off the court watch the tape again not as a fan as a judge. the suspensions were justified -aparently nobody remembers the pistons vs pacers.,heat vs bulls etc.
i love the spurs but bowen does go far sometimes. but steve nash also flops alot. watch the fouls he gotten called for him. he also runs into the body of players. if this had been tony parker suns wouldnt be crying would you?

Nobody has said anything, because Amare started brainwashing the Suns fans earlier in the series with his cry baby talk about dirty playing. If this would have been Tony Parker the Spurs wouldn't have made the amature mistake of getting off the bench during the playoffs and costing the team two valuable players. These fouls happen during every series and all of a sudden every Sun's fan out there is a expert on fouls and dirty plays Thanks to their suspended players.
