I'm 14 and really badly want a cell phone. I'll even pay for it.

Answer
tell her you'll pay for it. and tell her its cheap because Verizon and Cingular both have unlimited plans now for under $100 and all she has to do is add a line. So its not like you're going to run up the bill. Plus you're her baby and what if something happens to you? at least she can know you're okay. tell her just watch the news. with all that's going on that's bad with shootings and what not, heaven forbid something like that happens near you, she knows you're okay. and with GPS tracking she can know where you are at all times!

I'm looking for something to that keeps track of my running speed and distance...?

I'm looking for something to that keeps track of my running speed and distance. Maybe a watch or foot pod. Something that keeps track on my distance and speed. I should be able to connect it to my PC via USB and maybe comes with software and lets me see progress or past date data. Looking to spend no more than $100. Perhaps maybe a GPS devices that records my data and lets me access it on the web. I need someone accurate as I am preparing for the Army Ranger!

Answer
Ok, ranger, If you already have an iPod nano, iPod touch, or an iPhone, the answer is easy. A nike + sensor. If you have a nano you also need the receiver. You don' t have to use nike shoes. You can buy a little pouch or do it your self. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbjB0qp1ioM
It's not that accurate - but no foot pods are. but it can be calibrated. I've gotten mine to as low as 2% error. but 5% is more like the average.
The only GPS watch that I know of that's under a hundred is the Timex Marathon. But look for a Garmin in Craig's list or eBay. the 305 is a little dated and it will be a little slow to find satellites but has every feature you'll ever need (including a HRM) and lots of accessories. the 405 is a newer and faster and you might be able to get a good deal on one.
I think Nike has the best web site. But Garmin's is very good. I don't know what kind timex has.
GPS will give you more accurate results for distance. Foot pods will give you a more accurate speed and they work indoors. Oh and nano's will play music, too.
