im looking online for some pedometer watches on amazon.com and i came across a certain one i want. but the price of the one i wanted jumped up and the same model is much cheaper. the thing is the one i wanted is male while the other cheaper one is female. whats the difference between the two besides the look

Ok, so I plant on running 5 miles every once in a while. The only problem I have is how do I measure out the distance?
I am running on a straight pathway that is about 24 miles long, but how do i figure out the distance that I want to run? Any devices to buy or anything please?
