Heart Rate Monitor Wrist Watch - Owner Reviews?

Q. Started running on a daily basis since the start of the year and I really want to start tracking my progress during the run. I want to buy a heart rate monitor wrist watch, but I'm very suspicious of salesman and don't really trust review web sites.

Are there any heart rate watch owners around that can give me a review and recommendation of a watch they own?

Answer
Agreed - Garmin is the way to go and there's no better choice than the Forerunner 305 (see here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CSWCQA?ie=UTF8&tag=yoga089-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000CSWCQA for the lowest prices). It's the premium choice for serious runners and even though there are more expensive models, this is the superior choice.

With that said, as you're just starting out you might want to try out the Forerunner 50 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UW5SYG?ie=UTF8&tag=yoga089-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B000UW5SYG) so you can see if heart rate charting is really for you. This model is about half the price of the 350 and whilst it doesn't give the same range of features and convenience, it will still give you the raw information you need.

Either way, heart rate watches are a great way to track your progress, and I hope yours continues.

Hope that helps!
